We provide a healthy, peaceful, and sustainable environment with thoughtfully chosen, stimulating resources, including rich “loose parts” that encourage open-ended play, creativity, and social interaction.

Through exploration and connections with local parks and reserves, children build a strong relationship with Papatūānuku while developing curiosity and a sense of responsibility for the natural world.

Our play-based programme, grounded in Te Whāriki and enriched with meaningful te reo Māori and tikanga, nurtures confidence, imagination, and a deep sense of belonging.

As a trusted, community-led centre in Taupō, we combine high-quality education with genuine care—creating a space where children don’t just attend, they truly flourish.

INDOOR AREA

Indoors is a large open plan area which can be changed regularly according to children’s interest. The environment is filled with opportunities to explore, experiment and create. There is an abundance of resources which include many loose parts to empower children’s creative thinking.

OUTDOOR AREA

Our outdoor space has a substantial area of lush green grass, trees to climb, native bush to explore and room to run. We have a large sandpit with decking where water and a range of resources are readily accessible. The barked area has moveable play equipment to physically challenge children and an array of loose parts with which they can create and build.

DECK AREA

The deck area adds extra play space and is sunny and sheltered. It is especially valuable on wet days when clear blinds can be pulled down to make another large, dry and warm area.
